Foreword :
We are living in difficult times
indeed, and Death is the ultimate price we have to pay for all ours debts ..
These are negatively said words which is the more practical and pragmatic way
of seeing things.
But there is one Supreme Being that
ultimately decides our fate, and the Pilot in Air Asia Flight D7 237 was very
much correct in asking for all the passengers to pray.
My own story on Air Asia Flight Z2
616:
I thank the Almighty Creator for
giving me and my fellow passengers including my daughter a new lease in life. .
.
As a Visionary, part time healer,
full-time parent, environmentalist and consumer advocate, all rolled into one
person, I feel that it is high time to
share my own experience in Air Asia Flight Z2 616, from Davao City to Manila,
Philippines on March 19, 2017.
The following is the main part of my
email to Air Asia on March 23, 2017 un-aided by legal counsel, and out of
emotion.
“”When I took the
Flight Z2 616 last March 19, 2017., I became witness to the mechanical problem
and asked for Divine Intervention. On my return trip, I discovered the
pilot is also the same person, with just about the same actual flight time (
1:19 for March 19 - 20, 2017, and 1:20 for 613 yesterday ), credit is to be
given to the pilot for ably handling the crisis situation.
However, due to the
stress brought about by the flight, and the effects which persisted until the
next day., I had to cancel a business meeting on March 20, 2017, for which the
undersigned is asking for compensation in accordance with statutory laws if
any., or any special consideration from your part considering that the flight
was saved from turning into a national tragedy.”
The
actual time-line follows:
While
the plane was gaining momentum on the runway at Davao International Airport,
the situation was normal, but as soon as the plane was airborne, the vibrations
became very strong, and fumes of a mix of fuel and burning wire/metal were
seeping inside the fuselage, and as I was seated right beside the Right wing of
the plane, I can see the engine casing turning RED in color, and at this juncture some passengers were
complaining of the foul odor.
Upon
reaching 30000 feet, the vibrations lessened and finally about 30 minutes into
the flight, it was a smooth flight all together, but still the ember-like
appearance of the plane took some time to disappear.
When
the plane landed at the Manila International Airport, it just stopped moments
after, no longer reaching the terminal apron, and we had to be shuttled by bus
to the Terminal Building IV. While
ground crew members checked the engines, and presumably repaired it for days as
evidenced by cancelled flights that persisted during the day of my return trip
to Davao City on March 22, 2017.
THIS first-hand recollection serves both as
an eye-opener, and the need for man to solidify his relationship with Our
Creator.
As
an eye-opener, all airlines in operation has to maintain proper and regular
maintenance check up on its planes, considering that the planes might just be
pushed to the limit, as a human being,
we have to sleep 8 hours a day, so much more with machines that are only products,
they do have to rest.
Second,
while there is savings in time flight on a budget airline, obviously because
the plane is lighter due to limited cargo, the engine should not be pushed to
extreme limits, in order to save 20 minutes of actual flight , though in our
Flight Z2 616 on the way to Manila, it was necessary to do so because of the
situation.
And
of course, we have to remember that in ANY flight, the most critical time
frames are during take-off and landing period, totaling more or less 20
minutes.
We
believe in GOD, and we always open our day in Prayerful thanks for giving us
another day in our life. And when we
take trips, short or long, by land, air
or sea., it is imperative for us to pray.
